The most common cause of harmful outcomes to the newborn baby is being born premature, medical scientists say. Now a new study reveals that the mother's intake of the proper fats during pregnancy may be critical.

They observed that, "Several human pregnancy supplementation trials with n-3 fatty acids 'fish oils] have shown a significant reduction in the incidence of premature delivery...."
