The general feeling among physicians, including neurologists is that Alzheimer's and Parkinson's "neurodegenerative" diseases cannot be cured. In the case of Alzheimer's, Leva Dopa* is often prescribed. It has been found to be effective, though its effectiveness weakens considerably after one year.
Funny thing happened on my way to the site--I got Parkinson's disease. Now what? I did the research that was required, that is, I scanned 1,482 research reports in the area. Eeeegads!
But even before that, I called Dr. Harold Newmark, formerly of Sloan Kettering and the Rockefeller Institute. An astounding coincidence occurred. He was just finishing a soon-to-be published study on Parkinson's disease. Here is what he found--more Canadians get the Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease than U.S. citizens. In the U.S., more Northerners get Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease than Southerners. And even fewer Africans.
Aha! Vitamin D, which the sun converts from cholesterol in the skin. Of
course, the danger of melanoma increases with greater sun exposure. And
sun-blockers reduce the ultra violet rays that do the job.
Obviously there may be a solution in vitamin D tablets. Excessive D however,
causes hypocalcemia (loss of calcium.) Dr. Newmark said that the maximum
safe dosage is 2000 miligrams, so I upped my dosage to 1400 from 800. Don't
want to get too close to the max.
Dr. Newmark does not claim it as a cure. Rather he believes it stops the
progression of Parkinson's disease . We did not discuss Alzheimer's disease
but I assume the same process applies.
So what about reversing Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease? That
came out from my own research. Keep tuned. We'll reveal a possible approach
real soon. A neurologist said that I had reduced my Parkinson's disease
symptoms by 50% in the month between visits.
Please note: We do not diagnose or prescribe, which are left to the physician. Nor do we sell anything, and so are impartial except that we are partial to food and nutrients over drugs.
*Leva dopa, also called L-dopa, is an analogue (synthetic copy) of
dopamine.
