THE HERB MUIRA PUAMA
Effects On Women's Sexuality, Male And Female Physical Performance, Anti-Cancer, Alzheimer's Disease, Memory, And More

We scoured the established medical journals for indications of the action of the herb, Muira Puama. We were astounded to find that its positive effects were so wide-ranging. This is similar to the herb Ashwagandha* which we previously reported on.

For example; Muira Puama and Memory--

"Amazonian peoples use traditional remedies prepared with Ptychopetalum olacoides (Muira Puama) roots for treating various age-related conditions.

"'Our research] shows that single intrperitoneally 'injection]...of 'Muira Puama] ...extract improved memory retrieval...'in animals.]

Muira Puama & Female Sexuality

"This study investigated the possibility of an alternative to chemical medication in the treatment of sexual dysfunction in healthy women. The efficacy of a unique herbal formulation of Muira Puama and Ginkgo biloba...was assessed in 202 healthy women complaining of low sex drive.

"Various aspects of their sex life were rated before and after 1 month of treatment. Responses to self-assessment questionnaires showed significantly higher scores from baseline 'before treatment] in 65% of the 'women] after taking the supplement.

"Statistically significant improvements occurred in frequency of sexual desires, sexual intensity of sexual desires...ability to reach orgasm, and intensity of orgasm..." Emphasis added.

From: Advances in Therapuetics, vol. 17, 2000 'no contradictory evidence appeared subsequently.] By: Drs. Weynberg & Brewer, Institute of Sexology, Paris.

There is more on Muira Puama. Please stay tuned.
