Ashwagandha--A Miracle Herb?

Ashwagandha, an Anti-Toxicity Herb

"We have undertaken the studies to investigate the presence of various activities of the leaf extract of Ashwagandha...a commonly used shrub in Indian traditional medicine, Ayurveda. In the present study, we 'examined] the effects of  'Ashwagandha] against the mutagenic effects of MNNG, 'a highly toxic chemical].

"We report that 'Ashwagandha] offered substantial protection against the mutagenic effects of MNNG." Emphases added.
