It's HOT. Health food stores are selling out, mail order outfits are cleaning up—the buzz is almost deafening. Its MSM.
So, does MSM work? Its been promoted for both arthritis and for allergies. However, what if it over time causes osteoporosis (bone weakening) while relieving arthritis? What if it helps allergy sufferers but leads to a weakening of your immune system's defense against infection--as steroid drugs do?
What if MSM merely doesn't work but has a placebo effect (if you believe enough, it would help if it was an empty pill)?
You certainly don't expect its promoters to look at the dark or empty side. There's no money in downplaying it. The real question is--what scientific research has been done to test MSM?
We studied extensively the medical and scientific research on MSM to find
out. We found only a tiny bit of stuff from countries around the world.
Conclusion? Very little is known about it. It has not been examined to any
great degree. Therefore, our conclusions are that:
a. Stay away until more is known.
b. There are some proven, safe helps for arthritis.

c. There are many foods that can help arthritics.
