Aphrodisiac Properties Of Tribulus

Helpful for Erectile Dysfunction?

"Tribulus terrestris 'herb] has long been used in the traditional Chinese and Indian systems of medicine for the treatment of various ailments and is popularly claimed to improve sexual functions in man...

Tests were undergone of animals in five groups.

"Compared to the castrated control 'group not treated] treatment of castrated 'animals] with either testosterone or Tribulus terrestris showed increase in prostate weight...There was also a mild to moderate improvement 'in sexual behavior]...

"It is concluded that 'Tribulus terrestris] extract appears to possess aphrodisiac activity probably due to androgen increasing property of 'Tribulus terrestris] (observed in our earlier study on primates)." Emphasis was added.
