IRON AND HEART DISEASE

"Results--... both men and women showed a dose-response relationship 'higher the levels the greater the occurrence] between 'blood] ferritin levels...'and the prevalence of plaques in the arteries of the head and neck.]

Editor's note--the plaques would indicate heart disease may be developing.
